This piece was shot during mid-January 2005 for a large event called "Conquering Cancer: Inspiring Advances in Research, Prevention and Survivorship" that was held on February 2nd in Pocantico Hills, NY (just outside Sleepy Hollow). The short was screened a long with several other general industrials commissioned by the American Cancer Society but was definitely the most local concentrated.

Thank you for watching this video! This cause really means a lot to me :) I decided to donate my hair to make wigs for cancer patients as a part of my personal Campaign Against Cancer. We donated the ponytails to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, an organization that works with the American Cancer Society to provide free wigs to cancer patients! This is a fun and easy way to help out the community, it only takes 8 inches to donate! For more information, visit www.pantene.com You can also help support my Campaign Against Cancer by sponsoring me in this year's Relay for Life! I would be very grateful for any support! You can even donate online through my page: main.acsevents.org All donations directly benefit the American Cancer Society and fund cancer research, prevention, and patient services. Thanks for watching, Katharine :) Don't forget to Comment/Rate/Subscribe!

AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY main.acsevents.org the ACS helped my mother find support, fantastic doctors, and beautiful wigs while she was struggling under chemotherapy throughout 2008 and 2009, and without them, I don't know what we would have done. Ziggy Gurnick was a bright, inspiring person with a flair for the bizarre and a SAG card. His family is facing their first holiday without him, and raising money in his name for the ACS would mean the world to me, my home town, and people who have been touched by cancer. Also, the whole thing was shot in front of my laptop to assure that the thumbnail would have the 2009 p4a logo in, since I can't do video editing.
