I made this movie before "Wall-E" came out, so I wasn't copying it. There are a few similarities, but "Wall-E" borrows a lot of ideas from the film "Silent Running," and that film was something of an inspiration for my movie as well.   Together, gardeners and good food advocates pitched in to help give the White House and the Obamas a healthy kitchen garden. Now it's time for gardeners around the world to work together again on a much bigger challenge: feeding a growing population with a rapidly degrading natural resource base and in a rapidly changing global climate. There are currently over 1 billion hungry people in the world and that number is set to rise as the global population rises from 6.7 billion to over 9 billion in 2050. While we don't know yet how we will feed all these new hungry people, we do know one thing for sure: planting more kitchen gardens - behind homes, schools, and in vacant urban lots - will be part of the solution. Kitchen Gardeners International is a 501c3 nonprofit community of 18000 people from over 100 countries who are growing some of their own food and helping others to do the same.   PLEASE DEFINE GOD FOR ME by Dr. Harold Sala This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight' declares the LORD." Jeremiah 9:23-24 "How would you define God?" was the question a middle-aged businesswoman asked. Her quivering lips told me a volcano of emotions was the driving force of her question. "She's been through a lot," a friend of hers later explained, without providing details that weren't really important. "I wouldn't begin to attempt a definition of God," I explained, adding, "You experience God." The fact is, the moment you say, "God is" and finish the sentence, you have drawn a box around God, and your definition attempts to confine Him to what you have said. I explained that God is the uncreated Creator, the beginning and the end, the sum of all existence, but those are observations, not definitions. The Bible, which tells us more about God than any book in the world, doesn't make a single attempt to define God. It begins assuming His existence, and also says that man is dependent upon Him just as a newborn is upon his mother.
