Imagery and data analysis with ENVI has been used to track the movement of beetle damage in the Colorado Rocky Mountains using satellite imagery. ENVI has also been used for near real time imagery analysis of an active wildfire.

Only 18 km from St. Louis, Nestled between the Delta of Senegal and the National Park Langue de Barbarie; Gandiol is a small fishing and farming (onions) rural community learning to participate in the sustainable management of its natural resources. It is an endangered paradise between the Atlantic Ocean and The River Senegal with an indigenous people that is struggling to maintain dignity and a traditional way of living.   Cashing in on natural resource management (NRM) (episode 3)

  On-farm management practices that are good for the environment can also drive improved profitability. A commonsense approach to implementing natural resource management (NRM) into a cropping, prime lamb and wool enterprise has been embraced by brothers Ken and Charlie Baldry. Ken says his pasture management regime has improved the levels of organic matter and nitrogen in the soil and the cropping rotation has increased phosphorus levels. The farms planned and organised rotational benefits are one way the brothers have increased production. While the changes theyve made to improve their natural resource management have been their own, Ken says the Grain and Graze program, a research, development and delivery program looking to address the connections between the on farm components being the pastures, the crops, the vegetation has been a great resource.
