Saturated fat

Saturated fat is fat that consists of triglycerides containing only saturated fatty acid radicals. There are many kinds of naturally occurring saturated fatty acids, which differ by the number of carbon atoms, ranging from 3 carbons to 36. Saturated fatty acids have no double bonds between the carbon atoms of the fatty acid chain and are thus fully saturated with hydrogen atoms.

    It really has had a bad rap from our Drs and of course the insane media! In my opinion Saturated Fat is essential in our daily diet. Its a stable solid mass at room temperature and is required by our bodies. MCT (Medium chain triglyceride) like coconut oil is amazing. Coconut oil contains Lauric acid and is anti fungal, parasite and bacterial. Your liver and thyroid will fall back in love with you if you use it. And as I stated if you remove all other household oils and only cook with this one you could lose up to 36Lbs over 12 months! Although heart disease and cancer were rare before 1920, the incidences of these dis-eases have increased dramatically since then. By as early as 1950, heart disease was the leading killer of Americans. However, contrary to what one would expect if the saturated fat/heart disease hypothesis were true, the consumption of animal fat between 1910 and 1970 DECREASED by 21% and the consumption of butter DECREASED from eighteen pounds per person per year to only four, according to the research of Sally Fallon and Mary Enig (Read The oiling of America). Furthermore, over that same time span the consumption of refined vegetable oils much of it consumed as partially hydrogenated or trans fat, INCREASED by 400%, and the consumption of sugar and processed foods INCREASED by 60%.
